Check Here for the Most Recent Updates

  • December 14th: Wedding Photos
  • We are receiving a number of requests for using our farm for wedding photos. Yes, this is possible. Please use our Contact Us section to send us an email.
  • December 13th: Pre-cut Trees still available
  • We still have precut trees available. We will be open Thursday and Friday from 4 to 7 pm. Stop by to see the decorations, the lights and enjoy the atmosphere. A great place for family photos.
  • December 11th,
  • Due to expected freezing rain we are closed today. Pre-cut trees are still available.
  • We are experiencing an overwhelming number of phone calls. Please check our website or listen to our phone message where we provide the most recent update on the status of our farm and services. Emails are best as we can respond to these far more efficiently.
  • Wedding photos requests. This year we have a number of requests to use our farm for wedding photos. Yes, this service is possible, please use our contact us form and send us your details and we will get back to you.
  • December 10th
  • Sadly, we have reached our sustainable limit for the cut your own service for 2022. This has occurred  approximately 2 weeks earlier than anticipated. We will, therefore, close this service for the 2022 season today at 4pm.
  • We still will have some gorgeous Fraser Firs trees available in out pre cut section, therefore, we will keep the farm open this evening. At 4pm we will turn on 35000 LED warm white Christmas lights.
  • December 7th, PLEASE READ
  • Due to unprecedented demand for trees this season, we will have reached our sustainable limit of trees by today. Please note that the cut-your-own service will, therefore, close for the 2022 season on Saturday Dec. 10 at 4pm.
  • Our Scotch Pine will still be available for $40 as we are trying to clear this field for other species.
  • We have 3 staff that are unavailable due to illness, therefore, we will not be open Thursday or Friday, rather opening only on Saturday at 9am. Please be patient with us.
  • Our pre-cut section will remain open Saturday, but please ensure you call 613-532-9627 to check on our supplies before heading out.
  • December 6th, 2022
  • We had a couple of surprisingly unsettling reviews regarding our ongoing plans to transition to a forest like setting. Though one review has since been removed, I hope that clients will read our About Us section to understand our environmental position. Not everyone will be satisfied with this position, but for those that do share our concerns, we very much appreciate your support.
  • A new batch of Christmas lights arrived and we will try once again Friday night to see if they all work! Close to 35,000 LEDs will be lit.
  • December 2nd, 2022
  • How hard is it to manufacture reliable Christmas lights? After several hours climbing a sketchy 32ft ladder to mount a 1,000 LED lights, we received 3 days of use before they stopped working! If this was the first time, I would ignore it, but this is at least the third time trying to mount the barn lights. In any case, the strong wind damaged other lights so the "big moment" to light up the whole farm is delayed. At current count, we are at around 32,000 LEDs.
  • November 30, 2022
  • Christmas Lights: If all goes as expected, on Saturday, December 3rd at around 4 pm, we will be turning on all the lights on the farm. Thousands of white lights are strung among the barns, other buildings and trees by the main house. Hopefully, we do not trip a breaker!
  • Very Busy: due to an unusually large number of visitors this year, we encourage you to consider visiting on Thursdays or Fridays. If you visit on the weekend, it is best to arrive either at 9am or after 2:30pm. The busiest time is between 10:30am and 2:30pm. Please also consider arriving after 4pm and take advantage of the pre-cut trees available and enjoy the lights. Note that the cut your own services closes at 4pm.
  • Staff Shortage: like many other small businesses, we are experiencing a shortage of staff. Please plan your day to allow for delays while we assist you. Our Elves work hard to provide a family friendly visit, please return the favour and pay them a smile instead of a frown.
  • FAQ: As noted above we are busy and short of staff. While we are attempting to return all calls and emails, we are far behind. We have updated our FAQ and tried to address many common questions. Hence, please ensure you carefully review our FAQ before you call or write.
  • Leaving without paying: Unfortunately we have had some clients this year who have left without paying for a tree. Fortunately, this is rare but for those who have done this intentionally, we wonder whether they truly understand and respect the meaning of Christmas?
  • Negotiating Prices: We have had individuals that have tried to negotiate lower prices. Due to the high costs of running the farm, we cannot reduce our prices. Having said this, we do make some adjustments for trees that are clearly defective e.g. a two or three sided tree. We are also offering any of our Scotch Pine trees for $40, regardless of size. This is being done to clear these areas for planting other more popular species.
  • Prices: Our prices are slightly more than comparable trees at a big box store when you adjust their posted price to account for HST (e.g. $5 for a Fraser, though ours are not a cross, but pure and fresh). We are a small family business running an environmentally sustainable farm in a park-like setting. A lot of effort is put into the preparation and making a visit to our farm a wonderful experience. We provide a large variety of fresh-cut trees all within a family-oriented Christmas environment. If you are unhappy with our prices, we take no offense and would recommend you consider purchasing a tree available elsewhere. Note our prices are posted in multiple locations throughout the farm and on our website.
  • Price Increases and Tree shortages: the following CBC link gives a reasonable overview of the current problems Christmas Tree Farms are experiencing. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/christmas-trees-expensive-shortage-1.6668331
  • Larger Trees: Large trees over 10 ft present additional challenges. While we have a very good supply of these trees up to 40ft tall and in a variety of species (Fraser, Balsam, Blue, Norway and White Spruce), they are more expensive and can be very hard to handle. They are also in high demand. Please note, trees over 12 ft start at $200 and go up by $35/ft thereafter. Please see Frank for assistance with these trees. If you are unhappy with this price, we are not offended and would recommend you find an alternate supplier.
  • Weddings: We are receiving many requests to use our farm to host weddings and/or as a backdrop for wedding photos. This is certainly possible, please use the contact us feature and/or speak with Carole or Frank directly.
